About

Find, share and explore climate-related data in Belgium.

This portal serves as a centralised hub for climate-related data in Belgium making it simpler to find, share, and explore the information that drives climate research and action. We aggregate and organise metadata from multiple sources, creating a single access point where users can discover the datasets they need without navigating many separate repositories. Those climate datasets are organised around four main topics: Physical, Land and Water, Society, and Technology

Beyond discovery, the platform enables researchers and other data producers to host and publish their own climate-related data, whether publicly or within private groups. Everything you need to advance climate research and action, all in one place.

Why choose this portal for hosting your climate-related data?

Storage & Preservation
Host your datasets with reliable, IBM Storage Scale System storage designed for continuity.

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs)
Make your data citable. Every published dataset receives a DOI, ensuring proper attribution and integration into the scholarly record.

Enhanced Visibility
Increase the discoverability of your datasets and related publications. DCAT-AP (Data Catalogue Vocabulary - Application Profile) provides a common metadata specification that ensures your information is findable across Belgian and European data portals and catalogues.

API Access
Programmatic access to data and metadata streamlines workflows and enables integration with your analysis pipelines.

Comprehensive Organisation
Group everything in one location: datasets, user guides, analysis scripts, links to code repositories (e.g.,GitLab, GitHub), visualisations, and documentation. Make your data and research outputs accessible to others.

FAIR Principles in Practice
Structure and share your work according to Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable standards, the foundation of open science.
